Ingredients:
1½ cup sunflower seeds
½ tsp. sea salt
1egg
1tsp. fresh rosemary (finely chopped)
2tsp. xanthan gum
2tbsp. cream cheese
2cups grated mozzarella
Directions:
- Preheat the grill to 400°F with the lid closed for 15 minutes.
- Toss the sunflower seeds into a powerful blender and blend until it
smooth and flour-like. - Transfer the sunflower seed flour into a mixing bowl and add the
rosemary and xanthan gum. Mix and set aside. - Melt the cheese in a microwave. To do this, combine the cream cheese
and mozzarella cheese in a microwave-safe dish. - Place the microwave-safe dish in the grill and heat the cheese on high
for 1 minute. - Bring out the dish and stir. Place the dish in the grill and heat for 30
seconds. Bring out the dish and stir until smooth. - Pour the melted cheese into a large mixing bowl.
- Add the sunflower flour mixture to the melted cheese and stir the
ingredients are well combined. - Add the salt and egg and mix thoroughly to form a smooth dough.
- Measure out equal pieces of the dough and roll them into sticks.
- Grease a baking sheet with oil and arrange the breadsticks into
the baking sheet in a single layer. - Use the back of a knife or metal spoon to make lines on the
breadsticks. - Place the baking sheet on the grill and make for about 12 minutes
or until the breadsticks turn golden brown. - Remove the baking sheet from the grill and let the breadsticks
cool for a few minutes. - Serve.
