Citrus Soy Squid

 


Preparation Time: 15 minutes

Ingredients:
1 cup mirin
1 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup yuzu juice or fresh lemon juice
2 cups water
2 pounds squid tentacles left whole; bodies cut crosswise 1 inch thick

Lactose-Free
Directions:

  1. In a bowl, mix the mirin, soy sauce, yuzu juice, and water.
  2. Put a bit of the marinade in a container and refrigerate it for later use.
  3. Add the squid to the bowl with the rest of the marinade and let it sit for
    about 30 minutes or refrigerate for 4 hours.
  4. Set up the grill. Drain the squid.
  5. Grill over medium-high heat, turning once until white all through for 3
    minutes.
  6. Serve hot.
