Smoked Mac and Cheese

 


Preparation Time: 2 minutes
Cooking Time: 1 hour
Servings: 2
Ingredients:
½ cup butter, salted
1/3 cup flour
½ tbsp. salt
6 cups whole milk
Dash Worcestershire
½ tbsp. dry mustard
1 lb. small cooked shells, al dente in well-salted water
2 cups white cheddar, smoked
2 cups cheddar jack cheese
1 cup crushed Ritz
Directions:

  1. Set your grill on “smoke” and run for about 5-10 minutes with the lid
    open until fire establishes. Now turn your grill to 325°F then close the
    lid.
  2. Melt butter in a saucepan, medium, over low–medium heat then whisk
    in flour.
  3. Cook while whisking for about 5-6 minutes over low heat until light
    tan color.
  4. Whisk in salt, milk, Worcestershire, and mustard over low-medium
    heat stirring frequently until a thickened sauce.
  5. Stir noodles, small shells, white sauce, and 1 cup cheddar cheese in a
    large baking dish, 10×3” high-sided, coated with butter.
  6. Top with 1 cup cheddar cheese and Ritz.
  7. Place on the grill and bake for about 25-30 minutes until a bubbly
    mixture and the cheese melts.
  8. Serve immediately. Enjoy!
